Class 4 or 5 with heavy trailer endorsement ( code 20 )  Commercial Use

Allows a person to operate:

1.    Trailers or towed vehicles exceeding 4,600 kgs provided neither the truck or trailer has an air brakes.

2.    Any motor vehicle in combination of vehicles in Class 5.

Steps taken to obtain a code 20 endorsement:

1.    Obtain a learner’s licence from ICBC driver services.

2.    Practise pre-trip inspection and driving skills required for road test with a qualified licence holder and or attend a driver training school.

3.    Take a road test.

4.    Driver’s medical


Code 20 training is available on an individual basis or for groups of employees. Please contact office for details and pricing.

Class 4 or 5 with house trailer endorsement ( code 7) Recreational  Use

Allows a person to operate :

1.    Recreational trailers exceeding 4,600 kilograms provided neither the truck nor the trailer has air brakes.

2.    Any motor vehicle or combination of vehicles in class 5

Steps taken to obtain a code 7 endorsement:

1.    Obtain a learner’s licence.

2.    Practise pre-trip inspection and driving skills required for road test with a qualified licence holder or attend a driver training school.

3.    Take a road test.

Code 51 training is available by the hour in your truck and R/V unit. Call the school for details.
